Musician Lenses
If you read from a music stand, you need to have sharp vision at that distance, but you also need to see the conductor’s expressions and nuanced movements up at the front. Sometimes, you’ll be looking straight ahead. But other times, you may be sharing a stand and have to look out one side or the other of your glasses…at both distances.
The area on your no-line, progressive lenses for intermediate vision is the smallest visual spot on your lenses. When you are in position to perform, most times you don’t have the option to move your head to line up the sweet spot. However, executive lenses allow you to easily move your eye left to right, up and down for totally clear and exact vision.
Our musician customers have told us that our Franklin style executive lenses, because of their design, provide them with unobstructed vision from edge to edge. We make every lens in-house for our customers, so we can put the correction where you need it.
We recently helped a trombone player solve his challenging performance vision problems. We determined he needed a correction segment that was very high in the frame and a much weaker bifocal area due to how far away he stood from his music when he was playing. The custom lenses we designed worked excellent for him in his unique performance situation.
No matter what your instrument or your environment, we can answer your vision challenges with a great pair of performance eyewear. Remember: you can’t wear golf shoes at the bowling alley, so why are you trying to wear your daily eyewear at the more intense challenging environment.
Call Dale Fluegge and we can talk about how to get you the pitch perfect results.
